The Graduate Diploma of Ageing and Pastoral Studies equips graduates with the professional knowledge and skills to confidently deliver effective and sensitive pastoral care for older people, ensuring their receive the spiritual support they need across a wide range of settings.

The course also prepares graduates to move into a leadership role within pastoral and community settings, and in the aged care industry for the provision of pastoral and spiritual care.

Option

Can’t commit to a Graduate Diploma? One option is to stop midway in your course and attain a Graduate Certificate in Ageing and Pastoral Studies. You can pick your studies up and complete your Graduate Diploma later on when life changes again.

Online (Distance Education)

Applicants for the Graduate Diploma of Ageing and Pastoral Studies must meet the following Admission Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree (or AQF equivalent) in either Theology, Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent;
    OR
  • Successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Ageing and Pastoral Studies, or an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) equivalent.

This course encourages students to seek practical experience and opportunities for hands-on learning in their relevant context.

This course includes emphasis on group sharing and discussion through the online forum.
