Introduction to Christian Theology

If you’re new to theology, this subject is perfect for giving an introduction to the major doctrines of the Christian faith, including God as Trinity, the person and work of Christ, the Spirit, humanity, and the church.

You will get to explore the wheres, whys and hows of Christian theology, and develop the initial skills of theological reasoning together with the capacity to use theological vocabulary. You will also be introduced to key figures in the history of theology, and explore connections between the discipline of theology and contemporary life.

Starting 2 March, our Introduction to Christian Theology subject will be taught weekly by Rev’d Dr Geoff Broughton at our Canberra campus every Tuesday from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. As an Auditing student, you get to sit in and participate in lectures without needing to complete assignments. (You will therefore also receive no credit towards other awards.) You will also get Community Borrower privileges to St Mark’s theological library resources as part of the auditing fee. Best of all, there are no entry requirements to participate.

Single Subject Study

Single Subject Study gives you the flexibility and the credit, without the commitment of a full degree. Each successful subject completion is creditable towards a Bachelor of Theology. As a Single Subject with CSU, you get to access all subject materials and resources through our online learning environment.
