Religious Broadcasting in a changing Australia
“Religion, like the media, is changing fast in Australia… What does the changing role of religion mean for the national broadcaster as it reflects and informs Australian life?”
St Mark’s history lecturer Michael Gladwin joined Meredith Lake on Radio National’s Soul Search program this month to discuss the role of the ABC and changing nature of religious broadcasting. They also explore the contribution of Kenneth Henderson, war chaplain turned journalist, who led ABC religious programming from 1943-1956.
