About our mission and vision

St Mark’s mission embraces a commitment to public theology, theological education, and scholarly engagement. Our vision for the future is shaped by a striving for excellence in education and research so that the lives of individuals and communities are not just touched but invigorated for Christian ministry, locally and nationally. Our core values are the bedrock that drives, guides, and informs every aspect of our decision-making, operations, and interactions with our stakeholders (students, staff, alumni, and collaboration partners).

Transforming lives and communities for Jesus Christ, through excellence in public theology, theological education and national and international scholarly engagement.

Our Vision

To establish an ecumenical scholarly theological community that actively engages with contemporary society, while providing exceptional university-based theological education. Emphasis placed on postgraduate studies and research excellence.
