Join Rev’d Dr Ian Coutts, Lecturer in Practical Theology and the Triune God, as he speaks on the family on 12 August 2018 at St Peter’s in Weston.
Ian is lectures in Practical Theology and the Triune God courses at St Mark’s, a partner in the school of theology at Charles Sturt University. He is also the Coordinator for Ministry Formation at St Mark’s RTO. Ian grew up in the UK. He studied theology at St. John’s College, Nottingham and King’s College, London, and was involved in teaching distance students and ordinands very part-time. He is an ordained Anglican minister who has served in parishes in Birmingham and the outskirts of London, planted a church and been an ATO in London, Oxford, and Canberra & Goulburn. He is also a qualified social worker with a Bachelor and Masters degree in Sociology/Education and Applied Social Studies, and particular experience in the fields of child protection and domestic violence. He completed a doctorate on the family from a trinitarian theological perspective.
He is married to Anne, who is a school Principal, with two grown-up daughters and two toddler granddaughters in London. Ian works part-time at St. Mark’s and part-time for Anglicare (NSW West & South/ACT) as the General Manager for Church and Mission Engagement.
