Scholarships

Equipped to Lead Women's Scholarship

The Equipped to Lead Women’s Scholarship is there to support Christian women who are preparing for, or engaged in theological study at St Mark’s, are active members of an Australian church, and who desire to grow in Christian leadership and ministry.  Applicants may be eligible for a maximum award of $10 000, given in two instalments after the HECS-HELP census date in each semester.

If you are interested in applying for this award, please fill out the application form below.  You will be contacted with the result of your scholarship application after all applications have been assessed. 

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply you need to:

  • be 18 years or older
  • be female
  • be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or otherwise have eligibility to undertake tertiary study in Australia
  • affirm and demonstrate a personal Christian faith and be an active member of an Australian church

Preference will be given to applicants commencing or furthering previous theological studies. Unfortunately, PhD candidates are not eligible for this scholarship.  Preference may be given to applicants who are part of an Anglican church in the Canberra and Goulburn Diocese.

Scholarship payments are received in two instalments after each session’s census date.  Recipients will be asked to provide a short progress report during their studies.  If studies are discontinued, unused funds must be returned. The Scholarship committee reserves the right not to award the scholarship.

The application process

All applications should be submitted via the online application form.

  • Applications open: 1 December 2025
  • Applications close: 19 January 2026
  • Successful applicants notified by: 9 February 2026
  • Payments scheduled in two instalments after each session’s census date.
