As part of the helping professions, taking part in ongoing professional supervision is considered a foundational element of ethical practice, acting as a safeguard for clients and a mechanism for maintaining professional standards.
Professional supervision provides a structured, confidential space for reflective conversation, ethical discernment, and ongoing development. Through regular supervision, pastoral workers and students studying counselling and/or professional supervision, strengthen their capacity to offer wise, compassionate care, maintain appropriate boundaries, and navigate the complex emotional and spiritual dynamics inherent in pastoral helping fields and ministry contexts. This commitment to supervision reflects our dedication to accountability, integrity, and the wellbeing of those we serve.
If you are looking for a professional supervisor as part of a course requirement or commitment to ethical professional practice, you have come to the right place. Our recommended list of supervisors include accredited professional supervisors, supervisors recognised by a relevant professional association as such, and those who are eligible for accreditation.
Note: When selecting a supervisor, please make sure to avoid dual relationships as this undermines ethical practice. Students will not be permitted to select one of their course trainers as their professional supervisor during the course of the training program.
If you are a supervisor and would like to be added to the list, please fill out the Supervisor Register application form.
