ways to give

The easiest and most common way to give to St Mark’s is via our online giving form.  However, you may prefer to give to St Mark’s in another way. This page provides information on all the different ways you can give to St Mark’s.

How can I give?

Online

When making an online donation, you will be able to select the area you wish to support. If you are uncertain about which area to choose, please feel free to contact us to determine where your contribution is most needed. You will also have the option to make a one-time donation or to schedule recurring donations on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. You may cancel or pause your donations at any time.

By Mail

If you prefer to donate by mail, simply issue a personal cheque, bank cheque, or money order made out to “St Mark’s National Theological Centre” and send it to our mailing address.  Please include the following information with your gift:

  • instructions on which area you wish to donate to—if you do not have a preference, we will direct your donation to the area most in need of support
  • preferred address where we can send your tax deductible receipt to

Our mailing address:

Gifts in-kind

For those wishing to contribute gifts in-kind, such as books, office supplies, technology, et cetera, we welcome such donations in accordance with our established policies. We encourage you to contact our administration directly to discuss the specifics and ensure a smooth process. These in-kind donations enrich our resources and further our mission to serve the community effectively.

Give of your time

Another way to give to St Mark’s is to offer some of your time. If you are interested in helping out in our admin office, or our library, or if you are enthusiastic about hospitality and helping out with events, or if you are a horticulturist or gardening enthusiast, we truly value your support in helping out in these areas.  To see the available positions and/or to register your interest in volunteering, simply fill out our Volunteering at St Mark’s Form. We will be in contact to discuss this further with you.

Staff giving

If you are a staff member at St Mark’s campus, you can choose to donate a specific amount from your pre-tax salary to St Mark’s each pay cycle.  Alternatively, you may choose to make a one-off pre-tax donation.  Speak directly to St Mark’s admin team to find out more about staff giving.

Bequests & endowments

Bequests and endowments have established a number of student scholarships and prizes, assisted in the promotion of public theology and enabled St Mark’s to develop new facilities on campus.

  • Bequests, also know as gifts in Will or legacy gifts, are donations made to St Mark’s through a person’s will. This is a way to leave a lasting impact and support a cause important to the individual, even after their lifetime.
  • An endowment gifted to St Mark’s is a donation in the form of a sum of money or other financial asset.  The principal endowment will be invested and preserved (it will never be spent).  The income generated by the investment will be used to fund things like scholarships, research, or specific academic programs, ensuring a sustained source of funding for St Mark’s.

If you would like to contribute in this way we invite you to contact our admin team to discuss this further with you.
