If you have a heart for sharing the gospel in a broken world, this unit will help you make sense of how mission, evangelism, and apologetics fit together — and why that matters now more than ever.
Mission, Evangelism and Apologetics is an upcoming intensive at St Mark's National Theological Centre, bringing together the biblical, historical, and theological threads of Christian mission — and taking them right through to the practical realities of local church life.
You'll explore how the church has understood and carried out its missionary calling across the centuries, wrestle with big theological questions around atonement, other religions, and even eco-missiology, and think carefully about how the gospel takes root in different cultural contexts without being watered down.
There's also serious attention to the shape of the missional church today — new forms of community, contextualisation, and the leadership challenges that come with them, including questions of teamwork, gender, tentmaking, and sustaining authenticity over the long haul.
The subject will be taught by guest lecturer Dr Teresa Parish, bringing specialist expertise to what promises to be a rich and stimulating week.
This subject will be available in Session 2 – express your interest using the link below.
