St Mark's offers affordable room hire for members of the public.

About us


St Mark’s room and venue hire

St Mark’s has several teaching spaces and rooms that are available for function hire as conference, meeting and workshop venues when they are not booked for lectures, tutorials, or other scholarly events.

All our rooms include a whiteboard and a projector, and use of our kitchen and breakout facilities.

Disability access

Please note that St Mark’s does not have a lift and first floor rooms are not accessible for wheelchairs or those with assistive walking devices.

Daily Rate Hours

  • 8.00am – 5.00pm

Session Times

  • 8.00 am – 12.30 pm
  • 1.00 pm – 5.30pm
  • 6.00 pm – 9.30pm

Our rooms for hire

Our facilities are open to you, our community for your various needs. The following rooms are available individually for hire, and are subject to availability.

Sulman Room

Ground Floor

Capacity: 60 maximum


  • Per hour: $65
  • Per day: $400
  • Per session: $200

Durie Room

Ground Floor

Capacity: 100 maximum


  • Per hour: $65
  • Per day: $400
  • Per session: $200

Withycombe Room

First Floor

Capacity: 30 maximum


  • Per hour: $30
  • Per day: $160
  • Per session: $80

Full venue hire

If you need to hire ALL our rooms for your event, we can negotiate a special package for you.

The following rooms can be included as breakout rooms when hiring the full venue.

Pickard Room

  • First Floor
  • Capacity: 10-15

Staff Room

  • Ground Floor, no facilities
  • Capacity: 10-15
