CSU School of Theology Graduation 2022

Home / News / CSU School of Theology Graduation 2022
December 2022 Charles Sturt University’s School of Theology marks its 25th Graduation Ceremony on 9 December 2022 at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Parramatta, hosted by Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Learning and Teaching, Professor Graham Brown and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Education, Professor John McDonald, together with Head of School Rev Dr Jeanette Mathews. Well-known historian, award-winning writer and ABC broadcaster Dr Meredith Lake will give the occasional address. Amongst the graduates will be the School of Theology’s 80th PhD recipient, Matthew Grubits, whose thesis The Crisis of Captain Moonlite: A case study of unbelief in colonial Australia reflects the School’s commitment to quality Christian scholarship that intersects with Australian society and Australia’s history. The ecumenical School of Theology offers degrees at both undergraduate and graduate levels in theology, ministry, and pastoral counselling. With the Australian Government’s acknowledgement that Ministry is included in the priority area of skill shortages, CSU is encouraging new students to enrol in theology courses.
